Services: Creation of a communication plan to cover the Indigenous Peoples’ and Local Communities’ Conservation Congress in Namibia, co-hosted by the Rights and Resources Initiative and the Alliance for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities for Conservation in Africa (AICA).

Products:

1. A participatory expectation campaign: this plan included the coordination with the communications focal points from the Southern Africa Community Leaders Network (CLN), the Indigenous Movement for Peace Advancement and Conflict Transformation (IMPACT), and the Namibian Association of Community-Based Natural Resource Management Support Organizations (NACSO). This campaign included:

• Social media toolkit
• Creation of a graphic line, in coordination with a local designer
• Creation of a slogan and a clear narrative

2. Event coverage: Daily social media posting, note-taking during the event, construction of interviews, and coordination of the photography, media relations, and video capture of the event.
